We run a sushi restaurant in Sydney, Australia with about 25 employees, and before we started using shiftsmart we used to write down our arrival and departure times on a piece of paper in the staff room, as well as our shift preferences for the following week. With shiftsmart, staff can keep track on their mobile phones, and managers can keep track on their own cell phones at any time. Most of our staff are non-Japanese, but it is easy to explain in English and reduces the manager's workload, making it a highly recommended tool.

Shift Smart is a great APP for both staff and managers. From staff’s perspective, Shift Smart helps them to organise their time in an easier way. Staff are able to submit individual available time by simply clicking the time slots which are pre-setup in the APP. There is additional note section where everyone could enter any comments in terms of their availabilities. Once new rosters are released, staff will get instant notification through Line and get access to the rosters by using their mobiles from anywhere at any time. In addition, Shift Smart enable staff to clock in/out during their shifts. Individual QR even fastens this process within 3 seconds. From managers’ perspective, Shift Smart makes rostering become a breeze now. Asking for time submission from each staff was a time-consuming job for managers. With the assistance of Shift Smart, managers could collect all of these data in one go and make scheduling more efficiently. Moreover, in terms of the clock in/out function, Shift Smart is capable of automatically calculating staff working hours on a weekly basis, which saves lots of time that managers spend on data input manually before. In this way, it definitely minimise errors in hours calculation. As a result of all these advantages mentioned above, managing staff at multiple locations is no longer such a heavy task at all. I am very happy to have used Shift Smart. I am a small restaurant owner who works onsite almost every day, and this system has made managing my staff so much easier. I can do everything on my one phone, so I can use my spare time to create a roster and share it right away. It is easy to bring in new staff and remove staff who have left. The system also manages staff leaving, so you don't have to do anything but make minor adjustments. I then drop it into my Excel file and automatically calculate salaries. It takes me about 30 minutes to calculate payroll and another 30 minutes to create shifts. I am very grateful because I can manage it while I work.
